About Dr. Taylor

Dr. Lyndon Taylor finished his Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Rush Pres. St. Luke's Medical Center in 1983. Rush has since changed its name to Rush University. Dr. Taylor became board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1985. For over 27 years Dr. Lyndon Taylor has delivered compassionate care to his patients in the near west suburbs of Chicago.

If you and your husband are having difficulty conceiving, Dr. Lyndon Taylor will guide the evaluation of your reproductive system: your partner’s sperm, your egg, your tubal patency, uterine adequacy, cervical competency, monitor ovulation capacity, screening and treating genital infections and pathology.

Dr. Lyndon Taylor has always provided family centered obstetrical care to his pregnant patients in solo private practice for 27 years. In July of 2010 Dr. Taylor stopped delivering patients in private practice but continues to  participates in the birthing process as the obstetrical house doctor on weekends at Westlake Hospital in Melrose Park.

Dr. Lyndon Taylor was the President and CEO of Healthcare For Women, from 1986 to 2004.  Healthcare For Women was the First Accredited OB/GYN Physicians Office Based Surgical Facility in Illinois,by AAAHC

Dr. Lyndon Taylor is a member of the American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopist 1986. His training has been impacted by Dr. Hasson’s Open Laparoscopy Technique. Dr. Harry Reich performed the worlds first Laparoscopic Hysterectomy in 1989.  Dr. Lyndon Taylor performed his first Laparoscopic Assisted Vaginal Hysterectomy in 1991.  His preceptors were Dr. James Dorsey from Greater Baltimore Medical Center. Dr. C. Y. Liu, world-renowned as a pioneer and leader in the field of advanced gynecological endoscopic surgery and also a graduate from Rush, and Dr. Charles Miller former AAGL President and a specialist in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery Dr. Taylor is a member of The Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons and was had Dr. Charles Koh President of SLS as his preceptor. Dr. Taylor is a member of the American Urogynecological Society and was preceptored by Dr. Denise Elser to do the Tension Free Vaginal Tape Sling for urinary stress incontinence in 2004. Dr Taylor is a member of the Society of Pelvic Reconstructive Surgeons where the influence of Dr Kovac and Dr. Zimmerman have had a profound effect on his interest in Vaginal Surgery.  Dr. Taylor believes in combining the benefits of Laparoscopic Hysterectomy with the benefits of Vaginal Surgery in the removal of large fibroids by Laparoscopic Assisted Vaginal Hysterectomy.

Dr. Lyndon Taylor in turn is a preceptor for Physicians Assistants students from both Rush University and Midwestern University

The People to People Citizen Ambassador Program, established by every President since Dwight Eisenhower, provides a unique opportunity for professionals to network, learn, and serve other countries through humanitarian efforts. Dr. Lyndon Taylor was nominated to the John J. Sciarra, MD PhD delegation to China and Tibet in 2011.

Dr. Lyndon Taylor is an expert in advanced laparoscopic procedures for the management of fibroids, endometriosis, ectopic pregnancy, pelvic adhesions, dermoid cysts. Dr. Lyndon Taylor treats uterine prolapse, urinary incontinence, cystoceles and rectoceles and pelvic organ prolapse. Lastly, Dr. Lyndon Taylor is a leader in LAVH in Oak Park, performing laparoscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomy since 1991.
